On the Monday, June 5, 2023, on the world environment day, 2000 Watts Smart Cities signed the MoU with the Government of Maharashtra’s Ministry of Environment and Climate Change to consolidate the state’s efforts towards expediting climate mitigation by implementing the successfully implemented 2000 Watts philosophy and toolkit.

The programme was attended by Honorables- Chief Minister Shri Eknath Shinde, Swiss Consul General Martin Maier, Speaker of Maharashtra Assembly Shri Rahul Narvekar, Revenue Minister RadhaKrishna Vikhe Patil, Principal Secretary Shri Praveen Darade among others.

The CENTRE FOR CLIMATE CHANGE AND CITIES was established to streamline the efforts and achieve resource efficiency leading to urban resilience.
